3 skills I learned from hiking alone

In this video I talk about 3 things that I’ve learned from hiking alone that you should be aware of if you’re considering going yourself

As quintessentially introvert-like as it is, I looove hiking alone. It’s a bit like a meditation for me because I’m present and absorbing where I am, when I’m there. But while I’ve always enjoyed doing it, I also sometimes felt (and still feel) a bit worried and anxious about going – because it’s just me and if anything does go wrong the person who will need to resolve it is also me. It can be quite scary to go on your own even if you often enjoy doing things by yourself but even more so when you haven’t done it for a while or when it’s not your usual at all. So in this video I go through 3 things/skills that I’ve learned from hiking alone which are also the things that you’ll get better at if you do too. I hope it might be of some use to hear what you should be aware of before you go but at the same time I hope it also shows the benefits. If you’ve been hesitating about whether to go hiking alone or not, I’d love to hear from you – what worries you the most, where would you like to go, what would help you to go for it? If you’re an avid hiker like me (I’m far from being a pro at it but I absolutely love it!) – what have you picked up along the way, what has been the most challenging? Any thoughts or questions are very welcome, I’d love to have a chat with you.
