Angel's Landing – Scariest Hike in America? Steep Drop off – Zion National Park, Utah
One of the Scariest and Spectacular hikes in North America. Here’s a look at how Angels landing looks like with steep drop offs of 1,000 feet on both sides. Video shows me going up and down Angels Landing. It’s one of the most popular hiking trails in Zion National Park, Utah. It’s also listed as one of the top 10 hikes in North America.
Definitely make this one of the hikes on your bucket list.
Video recorded on April 24, 2017 using a GoPro and a FeiYu steadycam GoPro gimbal.

Loads of people have fell off that to their deaths
That's beautiful, but there is no way in hell I'd have the nerve to do it.
O Andalucía
Q wsta p Galicia
Way para recorrer gente mayor
Sitio turístico e España..q way ..donde esta
When I went it was funny sitting by the start of the chain section and listening to people's reactions to seeing it for the first time. Unfortunately there was a couple people who got pressured into trying and then got stuck along the way due to panic and getting very flustered. Not for the faint of heart.
I’m always amazed by nature. It’s fascinating how mountain erosion has formed chain linked railings like that.
Most dangerous hikes in America!
Immediately sees overweight people, small kids, middle-aged guy running, and a handrail!
It's like showing a video of Mount Everest but it has a sky lift to the top 🥴
😂😂😂🥴
Scaled Angel's Landing today on the Christmas of 2021!
this is how my parents say the got to school
Make the music more annoying next time.
Udah🤒🤮😷🤕
Wow, absolutely stunning. Imagine no guide chain. Thx for sharing that was awesome 😎

why dos that look spooky even on video?
Wow I didn't see any BigFoots ,,,weird
Lived in this canyon several years, while FPM at Zion Lodge walked this trail days and nights, one of the many in Zion. Loved it!
To anyone considering this hike, it is not as scary as the videos make it seem. I hiked it last week. The videos would make my palms sweat and I was nervous about trying it. But I felt safe the entire hike. I barely used the chains coming back down. This is a must do hike! Good luck and be safe!!!
that's a beautiful view, having said that, that's a big huge NOPE from me, I used to love hikes like this, but after my TBI I can't even watch them on tv, youtube without my stomach bottoming out, hats off to the person who videoed this so I could at least watch it with my stomach wondering WTF….the person, people who put those chains in tho, I wonder how they can walk with their huge brass balls lol
You only die if a huge wind hits or your stupid.
I hate to rain on your party here, but I've been up Angels landing 5 or 6 times now, and it's not the scariest hike in America. the angles of the camera make it look way more terrifying than it actually is. I've done plenty of hikes that scared me more thanAngels Landing. don't let this video scare you away from this hike; it's worth it. just don't be stupid and go off-trail, that's where people get injured or killed.
If you guys like this hike, you will for sure want to do the climb up Half Dome in Yosemite. Just as scary as Angels Landing : https://youtu.be/AsM2GuLyTL8
I am enjoying the comments about this… especially the one about missing your brother and finding him at Starbucks 😄 I did this trail with a 12 year old who had a poor sense of balance due to ear problems… THAT was nerve-wracking, but well worth it, and he thought so, too. (He has gotten over his ear and balance problems and now teaches rock climbing.)
Yes, the wide angle lens DOES exaggerate the narrowness of the trail, but it IS usually narrower than 5 feet, with some sections substantially under 3 feet wide, with over 1000 feet straight down on both sides.
As is hinted at by the views from the top of Angel's Landing, ALL OF ZION NATIONAL PARK should be on your bucket list… even if Angel's Landing isn't!😀 It's my favorite National Park (so far!).
Did it in the snow 😭😭best felling getting to the top 👍
I get a whole body rush just watching this 😵💫
REDBULL !! Get some motorcycles up there.
That would be a no for me
Perfect place to take a wife you hate LOLOL
Trying to guage the risk vs reward here. Not a fan of heights but I'm a sucker for a food view. Probably just hike the canyon with the rest of the tourists xD
❤
Ok. I don't plan on doing this ever. Beautiful scenery.
Been up there, wasn’t that big of a deal.
There are neighborhoods more dangerous than the trail.
But still. Pretty 🙂 nice.
Loved it. Scariest part was a few inconsiderate runners that were running up and down. They think they have some special right to blow past people. They should not be allowed there.
It’s called Angel’s Landing, because that’s who you’ll see once you slip off that cliff?
I'm totally amazed at anyone who can walk this trail and be okay with it! I'm certainly not one of them, I would faint, get sewing machine leg and fall. No way no how could I walk this. It's beautiful to see on you tube but that's as close as I get. 😫
Nope no fucking way! I would so fall off that I already have debilitating anxiety
Nah! I’m aite! I’ll stay back here. Y’all go ahead.
Been there and done the whole trail – challenging-wise, it's more psychologically than physically. Average people can do it just be careful.
It was scary but not even close to the scariest hike in America, or even in Moab. It is easy to get to and you don't have to be too fit to get up there, but what is much more scary is all the others without a single "chain" and no one around for miles, and that take all day or days to get to. Plenty in Glacier, The Rockies, and even in Arches, Zion, Bryce, and Cayon Land with sure dealth drop-offs. Lightning at 14,000 feet, way above the tree line, miles from safety…scarier.
I did and love it.
