Wow! Such a cool video!
I really liked your video and am excited to watch more of them. I noticed that you had a bin for your food, do you have a link for that?
What is this hike called?? I am trying to find somewhere to solo backpack and it seems safe!
Beautiful! Where is that lake located? What is the name of it? Thank you for sharing!
if it`s solo how do you take pics with a drone behind you ??
Amanda, a collapsible funnel travels well and would make waterfalls easier to siphon from! LOVE this and ALL your cooking (no ice, no cook) videos ROCK! And then THIS one?! You are such an inspiration that I can't wait to go solo, too. Signed- Total Greenhorn 😀
Didn't look like that much dirt… UNTIL you touched your sleeping pad. 😂 What a beautiful hike, though. Looks absolutely worth it.
Wow I just started watching you and your friend thank you I miss hiking. I use to work in yellowstone and I did a lot of overnight trips . I can't wait to see all your bids love what I seen and god bless you guys. I'll keep you guys on my prayers
Ive never gone solo camping.. Definitely liked and subbed..!
Looks like a lot of fun.
Zero knowledge. Just an attention seeking… Pathetic.
Great insights Amanda. Really loving this style of video, the drone shots.. everything! ❤️
You are very inspirational. I’ve been watching your videos a lot lately trying to learn everything i can so that I can go backpacking sometime.
I got converted to cold soaking. So much easier compact and lighter. An op sack too is lighter. The animals can't smell your food.
Nice hike with amazing views. Video published on my birthday 👍🏼 lol
Thank you for the video. This makes me feel better to go hiking by myself.
This lady is Mountain house and those over priced camping food companies worst nightmare. =P
Amanda, I just found your channel today 🙂 What is the brand of sandal that you are wearing ? They look really comfortable !!! Thanks, Deb
You described exactly why we day hike. It’s hard. We can. Be thankful you have the ability to do it. ❤️
Love this! My soul has been calling to get out in nature by myself. Hoping to get out a few times this summer. 😍
That music was cool too.
This was an excellent video Amanda! Just discovered your channel and I'm glad I did. Thank you!
It’s so nice to see a solo backpacking video from a woman! I’m about to go on my first solo through hike soon and I’m so excited 😁
Your videos are like an escape
Do u get scared backpacking alone
Awesome video. Thanks for the upload 😃
Your video is so relaxing and the music was perfect.
You have confidence. I think you know your stuff! Thank you
I want to start backpacking sooo bad, it looks like great personal “therapy” and you are inspiring me so much!
Where is this hike?
The background music is next level !
You describing how challenging it can be is really motivating. I started backpacking last year and my asthma really slows me down. However, those challenging moments are part of the journey and they are what make you feel alive when you reach those magical moments. The rain, the gold hands, the unpreparedness are part of the experience. Thanks for sharing that it is not always easy for you.
Thank you for sharing!!!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU.
After watching your videos,i did a 20mile hike in Asheville, NC . ( solo) til then..may our adventures take us more into peace.
To anyone reading this…GO OUTSIDE! 😊🙏
Amanda, you are so awesome. I stumbled on your blog while looking for things I can do around Utah. I love the effort and quality you put into your work. You inspire me.
Very well-done video. Good mixture of drone footage with long camera shots (I really admire backpackers who take the time to put the camera in place, walk back, and hike again – or walk away and go back for the camera.). Your choice of music and the way you wove it into the narrative was excellent. The scenery (grand and small) was wonderful (You have a good eye for that!) and you truly became a part of it. I loved the commentary at the end of the day and the end of the video. It was humble, open, and inspiring. I love hiking alone for all the reasons you talked about, but mostly because the wilderness becomes a metaphor for my walk through life. It allows me to leave my faults and failings behind, to get closer to God, and to get real with who I am and who I am becoming as I push through the trials of the trail and experience the triumphs of the summits and the quiet of the campsite at the end of the day. Your video reminded me of all that. I'm glad I stumbled onto it. I plan to watch more. Again, great job, Amanda!
Am I your first costa rican subscriber? U BETCHA! That was mesmerizing, hit me up if u ever come down here : D
Hey I’m just curious what sleeping bag you have? I really want to get into backpacking but I’ve found it difficult to find a good lightweight bag for a college kid on a budget
You should get a dog, my wife adopted one from a shelter.. She barely paid him attention, so he's my trail buddy now
Great video. I love that spot. About 25 years ago I had a spot like this in NorCal. Then one summer day I showed up for my annual week-long survival trip and there were paved roads, showers with flushing toilets and cars and people everywhere! Glad you found such a nice spot. Keep up the excellent video work.
You must using a drone to film so high above. If, yes, aren’t the drone too heavy to carry?
This is truly beautiful country.
where is this hike?
how do you. know if the water is safe to drink
Solitude is a gift.
I clicked on this and then realized that I already watched it, but I can’t click off 😍 this is so well down Amanda. The drone footage is such a nice addition.
Ditch the elevator music.
"…see me from space." Made me smile. 🙂
I just found your channel; this video was amazing! Great job!
I love the air fill bag for your sleeping pad! Where or who makes it? Really saves your breath at altitude!
