CINQUE TERRE IN ONE DAY 🇮🇹 Hiking the Sentiero Azzurro
Cinque Terre has long been a place I have dreamed of visiting. It is a hiker’s paradise and also one of the most picturesque places in all of Italy.
I was based in Rapallo when I did a day trip to Cinque Terre so I took the train about an hour to get to Riomaggiore and then worked my way through the towns of Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and finally Monterosso al Mare.

This is where you can find out what parts of the blue trail or Sentiero Azzurro are open:
Get the Cinque Terre pass online without having to wait in line:
Note that if you are traveling between November 1st and March 31, you do not need to pay for the Cinque Terre card – access to all of the trails is free during this time. The train price is also reduced to an affordable €2.50 between each town rather than €5.

Nice video. Hope to explore there someday. Just went to Sorrento, Positano, Ischia and Naples earlier this Summer and it was awesome.
This 18 dollar car is it good for just a day?
Hi, Laura! Thank you for this great video! My sister and i are traveling to Europe and cinque terre is a must go for us. However I’ve heard so many people talking about how strenuous the stairs and hills can be and I’m a bit concerned. It will be now in the summer and I cannot hike for hours. You mentioned just using the train to visit the five towns (i read it in your blog) but can we have a good sense of the places just using the trains? I mean, can we still see the towns and walk around even if we don’t want to hike for hours? Thx
Thank you for the detailed info! I’m a bit worried with my upcoming trip to cinque terre: is it possible to visit the cities without killing yourself?
laura do you have info of trains from santa marguerita ligure to cinque terra?
What a great tour! Loved it, thank you for sharing the info!
question: Did you purchase two passes? The Trekking on and the Treno one? Or just the. Treno?
Awesome video – thanks!
love it! I booked 3 nights in Corniglia mid august to.do the trails.
loved your content and synopsis. We spent a week in an airbnb in Vernazza in early Sept and the true beauty of experiencing the Cinque Terre is being in one of the villages in the early morning before the daytrippers arrive on the trains and ferries and after they have left in the evening. Just you and the residents and the beauty and the quiet. So magical. If you only have a day or 2 then by all means day trip and enjoy but if you have the luxury of time then linger, hike, spend an afternoon at the beach to swim, find a restaurant where only locals go, and watch the sunset while sipping an Aperol Spritz in the most amazing location you will ever be in. If you are plannong a trip to Italy then make this a must see.
Great video! We're planning on visiting in October and are hoping for great weather as well! It was very informative and insightful, we liked that you included different information from what we've seen in other videos about Cinque Terre. Sad to hear that the trails between Corgnilia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore will be closed until 2024…How long did the hike take (minus stopping at the cafe/lunch)?
Thank you for this video! We booked our hiking this week and you gave us a clear idea what we will see, do and need! 👍🙏
So glad that you can just pop over to Italy frequently. We thoroughly enjoy seeing you enjoy this magical country.
( the land of my people) I can't go myself,so I really love visiting it vicariously through you. Ciao Bella!
Grazie mille per il tuo vlog. Vado a cinque terre in Auguste è adesso vorrei to fare un passiegata instead of prendi il treno
Going to spend time here in June. Are all towns accessable with train?
Wonderful. This area is moving up on my list of destinations. Thank you. By the way, Amsterdam was fabulous
🥂🥂❤️
Where did you buy the tickets? I’ll be there in July, I’ll spend two days to visit the towns. So, your advice is doing the trail from Monterosso to Riomaggiore, right?
Cool stuff 👍👍👍 ciao from Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
I really enjoyed your Italy videos. We will watch again before we set off on that Italy trip that we had to cancel in May 2020. All the best!
Amalfi Coast is much better ! 😎
Loved the tips, especially the website to buy the tickets in advance. I am staying there for 3.5d, and I absolutely intend to explore it to the fullest
Hi Laura, today I booked three nights in Monterosso for the end of June😱🥵🌡️I know, I know… But I'm not going to walk the trail ..will take the ferries instead, yeah I know it's cheating but I'm totally not a fit person, and the only walking I'll do is really early in the mornings to some view points😁..Thanks for this video, I followed you all over Mexico and now I check in on you from time to time…what a coincidence you also went to Cinque Terre 👍 Mexico and Italy are my two favorite countries!!
Beautiful video😍😍👏🏼. Did you use a go pro to record your activity?
