Colorado 14ers: Mt Lindsey via Northwest Ridge Virtual Trail Guide BONUS: Huerfano Peak
I hiked 14er Mt Lindsey via its Northwest Ridge and then added on 13er/centennial Huerfano Peak for a great hike. I hiked this in late September and it was about 10.5 miles with 4,400ft of elevation gain.

Recently went up the ridge and down the gully. Going down the gully was a huge mistake and very sketchy. Unless there’s snow, don’t do it! It felt far more dangerous compared to the ridge and a fall would have resulted in a rag doll situation down the gully.
Duuuude those drone shots on the ridge!!! EXCELLENT!!!
dude is that cave right off the trail? i’m about so hike it that is SICK
Great hike my man! Mt. Lindsey is one of my favorite 14ers from the valley views, the remoteness, the stepped elevation approach and the technical thrill seeking aspects.
The road to get there even with an SUV is more difficult than the hike IMO 😂
Great channel love all the vids man
Cool drone footage. I did Linsey in August , it was fun but not as hard as I was thinking it would be
Awesome drone shots man, what drone are you using? I had planned to go around the same time last year. Hopefully I'll make it this year.
What time of year was this? Is there a good window to do it in?
after starting to get into scrambles myself this kind of info is informative. The edits also give you that out there, so insignificant, totally exposed feel. well done man.
What is your total pack weight with drone ,helmet ,cameras, water etc?
Have you done a gear/equipment video? Planning on my first 14er next year and would love to see your set up.
The drone shots are everything. So awesome. Is there any way to ensure notification of your videos? I have notification bell on for “all.”
I still don’t get them.
I just had to do the Iron Nipple just for the name. No problems I can recall some 20 years later From the summit register of the Nipple: "I've licked the nipple and now I'm going to hump Lindsey".
Did that ridge back in 2011. I stayed further right and would call it class 4 with serious exposure on both sides with bomb proof microwave size boulder steps. I wish I would've put in the extra effort for Huerfano then, but your video may bump that one up the list for me now. Thanks for sharing. It was nice to see that ridge again.
great video as always
Such a fun hike! I did go to the end of that cave… oops
Killer camera shots along the ridge!!
Great video! I always enjoy when you post a video of a route I've done before. I approached Huerfano from the north and made a loop out of it. I also thought the tower on Lindsey before the crux wall in mid May was terrifying with snow surrounding it. You made it look so easy!
You are killing it with your video work! I love the drone footage and man did you piece these cuts together nicely.
Awesome video man
