Nice video. I camped there last Thanksgiving for two nights and saw a mama black bear and cub.
i was wondering is it safe to hike alone since there can be bear and other animal attacks
Best meditation following your adventure love from Tabriz best bro💫🌌
I’m so moved and inspired by the filming.
Love your hiking videos, have you ever done bike bagpacking trip?
Очень крутое видео ))
This park has an insanely lush forest. The only reason why it looks relatively dry is because this video was taken during the winter season. If you go during the summer, the forests are very similar to the forests at the rim of the Grand Canyon.
I have gone to all the big national parks in the us, have hiked in the Andes and in Puerto Rico. Still, I do not find this park underwhelming at all. It is majestic and the granite cliffs are beautiful. Yes, the isolation is part of that beauty, but for anyone who hasn’t visited the park and may now be discouraged believing that it’s not majestic, trust me it is.

_Seus vídeos tem uma paz incrível .
I was there in April on the 11th and 12th but couldn't do that hike (I wanted to do the Outer Mountain Loop) because the Chisos Basin was locked down due to a wildfire. We did a couple other hikes but left after 2 days, really crowded in the more accessible hiking areas. You must have just made it in after they reopened. I was in Guadalupe Mountains National park on April 15th.
Pretty awesome
Big bend is my favorite national park mostly because of the isolation and it’s got one of the darkest skies I’ve seen. Hopefully you remembered to look up at night!
Sometimes less is more. The solitude is beautiful and feeds my soul. I commune with God one on one without concrete under my feet. I see him in every rock and cactus bloom. In the vast expanse of empty desert and the night sky.You can argue that Yellowstone or Yosemite is more beautiful but they attract the crowds. Dude, campfires are prohibited.
Okay I can understand you wanting to make this an overnight camp but really can't understand why you walked all the way back to your car for lunch and didn't just carry it with you in your pack?🤔
I love your videos, they show the majesty of God's creation
Thanks for sharing your hike with us; what a great adventure. The best parts were without the music and just enjoyed the ASMR aspects of nature, etc.
Some friends and I did Big Bend National Park for Spring Break '97 when I we graduated from university. The Chisos are fantastic and the South Rim is awesome, but no trip to Big Bend would be complete without visiting Santa Elena Canyon and a short jaunt into Mexico at Boquillas del Carmen which is unfortunately not accessible due to Covid restrictions presently. Since you were in the vicinity, I would have also included a trip to the quirky little town of Marfa, Texas, which is only about 90 miles away.
Sorry if already asked, but what’s the place/lodge you slept at at beginning of video with 2 twin beds?
any ruminations on sapir whorf hypothesis?
That time lapse video of the stars was amazing and unexpected.
Kraig's comment about having been spoiled by 'bigger and better' hikes made me wonder if he's ever put together a tier list or top 10? Please comment if you are aware of one; I'd love to see what he considers his all-time faves.
I was there in October of 2020. Saw 8 bears. One was sitting on the trail causing a roadblock.
8:14 WOW🥶
Absolutely superb video
Please, don’t put music on your videos, I want to hear the voice of nature.
When are you going to do everest?
Always great.
