  • I used this video to helping me to hiking R2R in one day in 2018. Electrolytes are the key to have a successful hike with a very good Physical condition . Planning to come back to doing one more time with one night in the campground.

  • An interesting video about the dangers of hiking in the Grand Canyon, There is no real water source in the Grand Canyon once you leave the trail head, so carrying at a minimum of 5 litres for a day's hike–each Litre weighing about 2.25 lbs–so 12 lbs of water. Not enough emphasis on the need for electrolyte replacement (and Gatorade is NOT electrolyte replacement). And counter-intuitively–water is NOT going to replace lost electrolytes; if anything, make things worse as water flushes your system. Lack of emphasis on the right kinds of food to carry, not just for breakfast or supper but for eating while on the hike. Trail mix high in salt content, what about oranges which are so sturdy in a hike or apples? What is the best kind of sandwiches that will give most nutrient to sustain a day hike?

  • Well done . A must see for anyone intending to make the awesome trek👍🏽🌅

  • Don't carry water, carry Gatorade or its comparable/powder for extra fill ups.

  • this is an older video with plenty of tips i used it on my first backpack there in 01
