This was such a wonderful and informative video!
When I did HD, maybe 50 years ago, we had a base camp in Little Yosemite Valley – don't know if you can do that these days – cut the hike from Yosemite Valley in half. Didn't need a Wilderness Permit nor a HalfDome permit. our group of around 6 people were the only ones on the rock that day.
she kinda cute
Seems crazy that the cable section doesn't require a climbing harness?
Pam became a ranger!?
I do not understand why this is still allowed to be open to visitors. Most of these people have no business attempting such a dangerous climb.
Incredibly cool video material, thank you
If Vickii says to do, you better.
Thank you for this wonderful video ! And thank you for your amazing service!
Try hiking 12 days to Mount Everest this is nothing
So since Half Dome is an impossible lottery my plan is to do it late October. Cables don't come down just the boards and poles. Got some basic climbing skills, will make sure I am really fit, and I am going to bag that rock one more time. Not this October (need to lose 20 pounds) but the next one (or early November). It is a bit riskier but I kind of have no other option.
… nice ranger guide…
Love the hat 😉
Good to see Pam taking care of Yosemite National Park after working with Office.
Nice to see Pam Beesly move on from receptionist
I think I'd take a safety belt and lanyard to tie off on the cable – not that much extra weight. This is a great video.
This should be called the "fuck no" hike lmao
Cool video, I'm a fellow ranger – though I'm with WA State Parks right now! Just subscribed- Thanks for posting this, you're fueling my wanderlust haha – once I get back into top shape, I'll be making my way out here.
Super introduction, thanks. In the film, few people seem to be using walking poles. Is there a good reason for this?
Most dangerous of all is …TO MANY PEOPLE!
A permit? Give me a break. Glad I did it about 25 years ago.
I didn’t like it at first but permits are the way to go. There’s nothing worse than being on a slanted piece of granite with a 50-60 year old out of shape person infront of you with no gloves on.
Peccato che facendo queste cose ci si crepa giornalmente ma l'importante è non parlarne altrimenti il turismo sacro ne risente €€€€€€€ :

Bruh my palms got sweaty watching this
I don't think I would have made it up the cables except for the fact that I'd just done that ridiculous hike. I wasn't about to miss out on the top after hiking up 5000 feet in 8 hours!
Madam, people’s ascent to the top of the mountain is very dangerous and there is no protection on the edges of the mountains, and this affects the pleasure of looking at the video, especially for those who are terrified of looking at the top of the mountain and the people in its outskirts) Thank you for the beautiful program
How long it takes to get there
I summited Half Dome Cables in 85…Great Walk,,, be safe and be Smart,,,The bottom of the cables is when people need to declare the "Panic Point",,,
Yhaaaa..vicky's hot 🔥
Those lady rangers sure have some strong looking Jaw lines..🤔
