I hope you're all staying happy, healthy, safe, and positive! Remember, you can still get that trail therapy, but you have to be sure to follow the rules:
1.) go solo
2.) observe social/physical distancing
3.) hike local
Thanks for your continued support!
Thank you for posting this video!
There are 18 public preserves for hiking created by the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy (they have a map app too). I can't praise this accredited land conservation group enough, I've worked with them personally, they have great events for kids & adults. They have some crucial projects right now that could use funds, they are saving all types of critical lands, from development pressure, some are farms that need protection. Please check them out at this link. they have a great website. https://mohawkhudson.org/about-us/

Question is what will be the long term effect it will have on future thru hikers.
Great video, going to have to hike there. I’m a Fire Tower hiker, Dickinson Hill Fire Tower in Petersburg is an easy quick in and out hike. Beebe Hill Fire Tower in Chatham New York is another gem with the remains of a very old cemetery to the right of the trail as you park. If anyone decides to visit please be respectful of the cemetery. I hope this helps
Hey brother! Another great video!
Great video! Lol I almost drove over to that park during lunch today to go for a walk shoot a video 😆 I work a few miles from there! Good choice 👍🏻 👍🏻
What strange times are these. 🙂 Glad you got out!
love the video they are closing all our hiking trails here in Ontario our only option is crown land
Yup if yer into back country camping and hiking, take it from me as a first responder and a guy who does do a bit of back country hiking and camping. One, learn land nav both with and without gps, have a decent survival skill set… not just gear but skills and be practiced in them. And most importantly let someone close to you know your itinerary. Or stick to the trails and enjoy the outdoors. It’s a beautiful world go explore it 😃
I am glad you are still able get out and enjoy the outdoors. Stay healthy!
Great topic! I've been hiking a lot of the local preserves in the same area lately and some of them are pretty crowded. You have a great knack for finding the small stuff which is really key in these suburban preserves. There are so many hidden gems that people just blow by. The muddy crossing was classic. I "work" in a large park just a few miles north of Usher's Rd. and that little puddle would have scared away half the "hikers" on our trails. I can't wait to see the next video.
