Lightweight Trail Spaghetti for Hiking and Backpacking
Christine and Tim Conners show you an easy and lightweight recipe for Spaghetti that’s great for hiking and backpacking. This recipe was donated by ‘Flyin’ Bryan’, the first person to hike the Triple Crown in one year, which is why he was so hungry 🙂 The Triple Crown includes the Pacific Crest Trail, The Continental Divide Trail and the Appalachian Trail. Bryan’s dad did his resupplies which is why the recipe is called Trail Dad Spaghetti.

Why not just carry the liquid sauce. I mean the water ur using to rehydrate weighs the same as the sauce. Duh!!
Great video! First one I've watched that demonstrated rehydrating the pasta on the trail.
I want a RAPID Dehydrator like yours , mine takes forever to dry anything. lol
what temp and how many hrs to dehydrate the sauce?
You guys are great. I have learned so much from both of you and I can't wait to test out my newfound knowledge in the bush! Thanks for helping out us newbies 🙂
what type of Dehydrator do you use for your backpacking meals?
You could also add the 2.5 cups of water to the bag, seal it, and then put it into boiling water – less mess and you can use the boiling water in the pan for your drink. Just check your food bags are safe to cook food in.
Good Idea, but 26 oz is enough spaghetti sauce for six people eating a pound of spaghetti.
Awesome
