I am looking for a "One-For-All" tent (Trekking, Fishing,..). Right now I am unsure whether the Cloud-Up 1 or 2 is the way to go.
Do you have any recommendations?😊
Bonjour alors après plusieurs utilisation solide ou pas merci 👍🥂
Great review Trev…
Might get myself one of them 😎👍
Grab yourself a bargain! Even the retailers seem to get confused about the different colours and fabric (210T polyester or 20D nylon) specs. So I've just bought the 20D forest green CU2 for £104 from Wood to Water – must be a mistake surely?
This is such a helpful review! I was unsure about weather to buy it but I’m gonna go ahead now 😁
Thanks for the video. Helped me make up my mind 👍
Good review, thanks. How about when the tent gets wet? I like the look of the army green version of the cloud up, but its fabric is nylon like yours I believe…
When it has rained all night, doesn't the nylon absorb some of that wetness? If yes I'll probably opt for the polyester version which as far as I understand is much more water resistant.
I saw a video of a very similar tent where the tent had expanded a lot after the rain making it a pain to pack, and wet too.
I bought one but haven't used it yet. I chose the light green light green, but wished I picked the forest green. So I'm considering spray-painting it, into a more stealthy color.
Good review, but please ditch the background sound in the future or at least reduce it. As it is, it's hard to hear what you are saying.
Great review! Thanks for sharing it.
Great video 😄 very informative thanks!
Just recieved mine and it now comes with an extra guy loop above the rear vent, should help with stability at the rear and means you can now close the vent and have the back guyed up at the same time
please mono the voice overs. the stereo image is very unpleasent to listen to. great vid tho
Nice review.. Have you tried the latest Cloud up 2 Ultralight? Its a 10D . 930gm on paper? Cheers
Great review!
Awesome review! Thanks!!
I have had this tent for over a year now. Camped in all sorts of weather – so far so good. It has stood up to some tough winds and snow. Living in Scotland hopefully it will last for a least another season. I really like it.
The other tents tested are all significantly heavier than the Cloud Up 2 Upgrade. What would be a better alternative at a similar 1.7kg weight?
Hi Trev, have you seen the new superlight version of the Cloud Up 2, which I think weighs in at 950 odd grams? Looks great, but I think it's only 10 D fabric which is pushing it a bit in the thinness stakes, as I see it. I'd be interested to see you review one though….😁
Mine weighs 1.56kg without the floor. Is this right ?
I had one of the older ones which I got modified to add the extra side guylines…… Wasn't enough as it blew flat in a high wind…Thankfully the poles didnt break and was able to successfully move the tent -with a load of help.
Wanted to test a tent a week after purchase. The base got damaged immediately without a wind, without stretching, mat was on. Almost 1 meter long tear leaving it unusable.). Also door got a hole right away. It seems like the tent was stored in bad environment or it's simply bad quality. I had to return the tent to China costing me another £25 and I am currently waiting for refund. Naturehike representative sent me a smiley face once I sent a complain. Didn't want to pay return postage and I am not sure If I get refund.
They should send you free tents I like watching your videos.
The regular was ok, but it did last just 20-25 nights. The zip starts to have big problems. The tent was cheap comparing to famous brands, but if I think that it didn't last more than 25 nights, it is not that cheap anymore. I was happy with the tent, but because of its short life I won't buy a naturehike tent anymore. The upgrade is not interesting. The new version is heavier and it is not an ultralight tent anymore.
which one would you choose from lanshan 2 and could up 2 ?
I am guessing itæs the 2018model I have. it's a great tent
Sounds like a great tent indeed. I had been cycling all across Europe this winter 'till my bicycle was stolen together with my tent in London – it means I'm in the hunt for a new tent. So far i'm inclided to the Naturehike cloud up or the cycling, but information on Amazon regarding these tents are so messed up that I fear buying any of them.
I do enjoy these reviews – honest and down to earth. Great work.
Might be my Next tent
Hi Trev. Great and fair review. The 3 way pole connectors have been improved on this model when compared to the 3 legged previous model that you mentioned. As far as the 'sail' effect. One should ideally pitch a tent with its arse into the wind. This will also allow the rear vent to work properly and help prevent condensation inside the tent.
