Six Day Solo Backpacking Appalachian Trail Section Hike Part 1
Six Day Solo Backpacking Appalachian Trail Section Hike Part 1, this video is the first three days of my six day AT section hike. This video covers from Caratunk, Maine to Bald Mountain Brooke Lean-to. Mileage each day varies and is as accurate as possible. The AT mile markers and Guthook are sometimes slightly different. Beautiful weather, fantastic mountain views and I finally get to see a moose!
Part 2 will cover:
Bald Mountain Brooke Lean-to through the end which is Long Pond Stream

So excited you got to see a moose! I'm hoping to see a moose as well as a bear or two on trail next week, vacation week. I'll be hiking everyday. Speaking of which, sent you a message on Instagram about hiking in NH all next week. Looking forward to part 2 of this journey π

Gotta love those late starts at the trail head, especially when the daylight is shortening up. Ooo, I need to check out that No Cow bar – I have alpha-gal (meat/dairy allergy)…that looks like a great addition to my trail food. Super beautiful views!
Awesome video π€
Nice! Some of those spruce woods look like my local wilderness areas. Thank you for taking me along on your AT hike!!
Oh, and my trail name is Festus.
looking forward to seeing your journey on the Appalachian trail. glad to see you out there getting to experience the trail.
Someone I was watching on YouTube mentioned you in their video. Canβt remember who it was. It might have been wild, but Iβm not sure. Anyways, if I remember correctly, you are going to hike the whole AT next year. I like your videos and Iβll follow you every step of the way. I attempted a thru hike of the AT in 2019 going NOBO. I made it through GA, NC and almost all of TN. I got tendinitis in both feet and finally came home and never made it back out. I think about my experience every single day, ALL day. I made life long friends and it was an amazing experience. I envy you and I hope you soak in every moment of your experience. I live in upstate NY near the Adirondacks, so Iβm still hiking, but I WISH I could try again. Life is just too complicated right now. Anyways, you have a fan! Iβm watching.
