Taking Newbs Backpacking on the Superior Hiking Trail

I take my friend Dave and my other friend Dave on a 4 day backpacking trip on the Superior Hiking Trail. Being newbs, my friends wisely opted for shorter milage and hiked from Judge Magney State Park south to the Grand Marais trailhead. We had good weather and enjoyed the Lake Walk, Wildflower Hill, Devils Track River, Pincushion Mountain, and meeting and camping with new people. The Daves realized backpacking can be hard, but well worth the effort.
