THE KOKODA TRAIL: Eight Day Jungle Trek in Papua New Guinea
This video is about the 8-day trek I did in Papua New Guinea along the Kokoda Track (Kokoda Trail). This trail retraces the steps and the battles of soldiers during WWII when Japan, Australia, and the allies battled it out in one of the harshest environments in the world. We camped in tents and huts as we navigated our way along with the 6000m of incline on this historic journey. The video was filmed on Gopro 7 and DJI Mavic 2 (full gear list below).

From the beginning it was never named a track – ONLY KOKODA TRAIL.
My father & his only brother were there in 1942. Both were lieutenants in the war years.

Clicked to see Papua New Guinea, mainly got to see two random dudes in love with themselves prancing around, with little context.
That hiking looked challenging. Just think the Japanese and the Australians waged war on that same trail.
Do you ever been to Papua? Trekking to Angguruk?
The brave Aussies defeated the Japanese on this trail. This marked one of the earliest victories for the Allies in the entire Pacific War.
Itโs the track. Not trail.
Iโm doing this today

Epic adventure!
I really enjoyed watching this. I walked the entire track in 2011 (reverse direction to you) and have returned twice since, to work in schools along the track. It's such a beautiful place and I recognised every shot.

Looks like an incredible experience! PNG is one of the places I most want to visit and I loved seeing all your content from there since it's such an underrepresented destination.
Iโd hike anywhere to see the sights you see.
Looks insane man but what an experience!
One of your best videos mate ๐ค

Did you really only use a gopro in this video?? I could of sworn I saw some drone shots!

Damn, that looks amazing and intense. I'm itching for an adventure right now, hopefully we can get out there again sooner rather than later. Currently self-isolating in Canada. I just read your bio that you studied in Oregon. I lived in Eugene and Portland for about eight years altogether.
I remember the pictures of this trip on your instagram, seems very difficult but 100% worth it! Congratulations to both, very unique experience.
iLOVE you
