Great video – thanks. Lots of good tips that all make sense for the Rockies here in Alberta and B.C. In Canada.
Woah! Ive been to all of these trails, even st.Marys glacier! My search and rescue team used it as a training area!
Where was that first mountain shot taken??
Breathtaking views for sure
What brand of pants do you recommend?
Awesome landscapes bro. We don't get that here in Virginia, but the history and it's a free State is amazing. 2A Great review and tips for hiking gear Sir.
Hi Aaron when do you think would be the best time to visit?
Just did Mt Belford as my first 14er… I’m hooked. Will be going back to the Rockies for sure
Considering you need a lightweight gear cause you're not camping, a good folder from CS, Benchmade or Spyderco plus a multitool will close the deal.
My go to is CS Ultimate Hunter and the Leatherman Charge AL.
You were using the Kompressor Plus yeah? Or Ultra? @2:06
Great video man with some great advice! My little state, New Hampshire has the highest peaks in the eastern half of the country, The Presidential Range at 6,288 feet at it's highest being Mount Washington. It's definitely above the tree line in this part of the country, since the weather up there is some of the harshest in the world, with the world record second highest recorded wind gusts (was the highest for many years). Current temp up there is 57F with 12 MPH wind, summery for sure. I definitely need to get back up there… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmFitX6nE7I
great tips/list. I think for me its finding a balance of being prepared but staying as lightweight as possible. doing a day hike with a ton of weight just isn't fun and can lead to injury. I think you could getaway with a smaller knife like and izula 2 of bradford guardian 3.
you got a link to your trekking poles?
Wheeler Peak, NM 13k plus elevation. …next planed hike. Vid was on par and appreciated insight and variety of choices regarding all around gear. Blessings to you and your family.
